Sophie Caon Speech Pathologist

About Sophie

Sophie joined Therabees as a Speech Pathologist in 2024. Her role involves working with children and their families to help them achieve their communication goals. She is passionate about neurodiverse-affirming practice and disability advocacy.

Sophie completed a Masters of Speech Pathology in 2023. She has experience working with neurodiverse children and neurotypical children in a school environment. In 2023, she completed training in SCERTS, which is a framework for supporting neurodiverse children.

Sophie also has work experience as a linguist, working across South Australia with Aboriginal communities on projects with their heritage languages.

In her spare time, you can find Sophie at the cinema, reading, socialising with her friends, or learning new languages – she is currently learning Auslan!
